Vaccinations for dogs, cats & rabbits
Regular dog, cat, and rabbit vaccinations are extremely important, not only for the health of your pet but to help keep infectious diseases at bay.
We still see many parvo, myxomatosis, and feline leukaemia cases, despite effective vaccinations being available. At AllPets Vets, we ensure that our team stays up to date with emerging diseases and make sure our recommended vaccines are the best available.
Dog Vaccinations
Dogs are routinely vaccinated against:
- Distemper
- Hepatitis
- Leptospirosis
- Parvovirus
- Parainfluenza
- Kennel Cough
Although kennel cough is not life-threatening it is highly contagious and can be very unpleasant. Kennel cough can be picked up anywhere your dog comes into contact with infected dogs, even at the park.
AllPets Vets can also administer the rabies vaccine if you are taking your pet abroad.
Routine vaccinations are included in our Freedom Care plans.
Cat Vaccinations
- Cats are routinely vaccinated against cat flu viruses and feline panleukopenia virus.
- Cats who regularly meet with other cats should be vaccinated against the feline leukaemia virus also. This virus can cause many different illnesses including cancer and is a common killer of cats. Vaccination is the only way to prevent serious illness because no treatment is available.
Routine vaccinations are included in our Freedom Care plans.
Rabbit Vaccinations
Rabbits should be annually vaccinated against:
- Myxomatosis
- Viral Haemorrhagic Disease – RVHD1 and RVHD2.
Annual vaccination health checks
Your pet’s vaccination appointment will include a thorough clinical examination by one of our vets. It’s important to get your pet checked at least once a year in order to detect any early signs of illness and other causes for concern.
Book your pet’s next vaccination or booster.
